Suncho, the best moment ever in Descent for me was with the omega cannon. Getting Sandmann all riled up at KC lan was hilarious...I don't understand..you actually took time out of your normal life to make a list of internet game pilots using a weapon that's in the game?? :roll:

...and a list of serverops who didn't ban it. =)

My best Omega moment was probably in Pyroglyphic. I fired the Omega and killed myself instantly from 100 shields.

Too bad you weren't at Broodfest in November of 2000. Sandmann is playing Nirvana 1on1 in Indika. A bunch of us are watching over Nirvana's shoulder and Nirv ducks into the little alcove in the curved tunnel that leads to the main room. Sandmann is in the lower energy center and Nirv fires a nape to flood the hallway. A second later we see Sandmann's pyro just walking through the napalm and mopping it up like nothing. Then we hear the shouting from the other side of the room...

Hilarious. =)

Yea that man was simply the most annoying person to listen to. According to him, if he dies, it was something lossy, if you dont' die, you're skipping, on lan nonetheless. It was fun making him and Bigrye mad, and his lightning bolt sideburns make me laugh to this day. Best thing of the tourney though? drugs..simple enough.

He said I had a hacked network card. Then I proceeded to do just as well from Pally's computer while he had Bigrye playing on my computer trying to uncover the hacks. ;)

From what I saw Suncho, you weren't / aren't that good. Then again, the only time I saw you was at Chicago lan and I wasn't playing then.

I was also at IndyLAN II. I took a picture of you.

I'm not good enough for Sandmann to call me a hacker? ;)

Yeah, Suncho is definitely one of the best. Especially now that he flies all upside down nstuff. =P

Actually, the only thing I remember about Zuruck is that he was complaining. =P

heh I remember watching Birdseye annihilate some n00bs in gheydium in a Phoenix Interceptor. That was scary. =P I also remember watching him beat everybody in Indika after the [MS] server was renamed to gigabit.

Sadly, I've never been to a D3 LAN party (as most of you already know =P), but I did play D3 at a small groundpounder LAN party. I played with a newb, a Linux user. He said he couldn't get PXO to work...that made me sad, because he was missing out, or so I thought. I got to test all of the weapons without lag...but I felt like a newbie because I didn't have my joystick. :( I did play in a non-dedicated client/server game against Rodan, where I got to test the Vauss without lag. >:) That was great, and the closest thing to playing D3 on a LAN IMO, closer than playing with a crappy ball mouse and crappy keyboard. :P

Was there ever a time Suncho didn't fly like a drunken monkey on crack and steroids?

Neo, playing a 0 ping game online doesnt even touch playing on a LAN, it's not even close. It is too bad there probably won't be anymore big D3 LAN games, unless CD takes off. Even if CD isn't huge like halflife or quake it should get us another 4-6 years of LANs, make sure you attend a few.

And Suncho is durable on LANs but not impossible to overpower, I would say he is more well rounded then most players, myself included.

Yeah, there was that time, at least from what I could see. =P I'll only attend a CD LAN party if I like Core Decision. I should, though. It sounds promising.
