Hardware can be such fun... DOH!
Saturday, February 11, 2006:
Had been running my pc for hours as usual... Rebooted.
BAMM... The PC refused to reboot. ARRRRRRRRRRH!
So I arranged to use a temporary pc until I can afford to get a new pc.
Seems to be my systemboard or the processor... but I don't have time to mess with it.
The Hard Drive data thankfully is still there.
Ah the joys of Hardware.
DOH!
So for now, At least I can do the things I need to do... albeit, not quite the same as before.

Made sure to unplug the power cord.
- Did the Compressed Air and blew all the dust out of the computer.
- Pulled all interface cards.
- Cleaned the Memory and Interface Card edge connectors.
- Reinstalled the Memory and Video Card only.
Same Result... No POST errors, No Video.
Time to replace the PC soon anyway.
Wheeeee!

Pull the video card and see if it'll give you a POST error.

Pulled ALL the interface cards but left the memory in place. Didn't work!
Tried Different combinations of cards after that to no avail.
No Power on Self Test sounds! (POST)
No Bios ROM or Video ROM messages... at this point the pc refuses to boot at all.
Will attempt to reset the CMOS another day... gotta find the !@#$%^&* manual for the systemboard. (1 through 8 on keyboard in shifted state... Not a curse word!)

Hmm, try pulling the power cable from the motherboard (don't forget to press the release clip on the back side of the cable) and check for any obvious scorching or corrosion on both the pins in the cable and on the motherboard.

Took out the CMOS Battery for just over 2 days... Reconnected it.
Still the same problem.
Oh well... Time to use the parts as needed elsewhere.
Hard Drive is good... Can get my data from it when it is needed. WHEW!
1 DVD ROM Drive, 1 DVD RW Drive, etc.
It's a hassle for sure but at least I have a loaner pc from a friend until I can afford to get a new pc.
Life goes on... I'm going to consider the PC as permanently \"retired\". DOH!
