Problems with old game and new nVidia drivers

Post by Pumo »

I have this problem:

The old game Warbirds looks horrible in Direct3D mode with my eGeforce MX4000 with Forceware 81.98.

With the older Forceware that came within the CD of the video-card, the game looks nicer, with bilinear filtering and everything, but with the new drivers, it looks blocky and unfiltered, and it doesn't work if i force Anti-Alias and Mip-Mapping.

I could use the old drivers that came with my card, but the newest drivers works very nice with OpenGL newer games. So i don't want to uninstall the driver only for an old game, but i want that game to work like before driver update.

So, any suggestions?

Unless you have a 6xxx series card or better, stick to the older drivers - you'll have issues with opengl with older games too.
