ghost internet

I just installed XP pro on a semi-old (which i bought in 2000) computer that i had. Before i installed it, it had an ethernet card that worked fine and whatnot.

but after i installed it, i cant get the internet anymore. Ive gone through pretty much every network setup and troubleshooting thing i can think of.

i know i have the connection, just the computer doesnt see it

If you put the XP2 patch on, the firewall might be tripping you up.
