How to create a server that shows up on d3.descent.cx

Post by Dakatsu »

Just as the title says. I need to create a server that shows up on d3.descent.cx. Shiva's Server on Demand won't work in this scenario, due to the level. Is there a way I can create my own server that will show up on d3.descent.cx?

Didn't do it. I want to make a non-dedicated server. I added the gamespy.cfg into my D3 folder and added \"-gspyfile gamespy.cfg -useport 2092\" to the end of the shortcut. Can anyone else help me?

For me, -gspyfile gamespy.cfg never worked. I had to put the location to the file.

-gspyfile C:/Games/Descent3/gamespy.cfg or where ever you have yours.

Not sure why it made a difference, but it did.

0
master0.gamespy.com:27900
0
tracker.kali.net:22999
0
tracker.descent.cx:27900
-gspyfile C:/Games/Descent3/gamespy.cfg

Not in the actual gamespy.cfg file. Where you would put the command-line in the Descent 3 setup, I put the location instead of just \"-gspyfile gamespy.cfg\". Mine looked something like this with some additional ones.

-useport 2092 -gspyfile C:/Games/Descent3/gamespy.cfg

He means he had to include the full path to the gamespy.cfg file in the command line to launch D3.

Behemoth, you need spaces before the 0's.
