AARP

Post by dissent »

Ok, now that I've finally reached that august stage in my life where I'm starting to get pelted with queries of membership from the AARP, I'm wondering - do I join or not? Any of you other folks have any wisdom to impart in this regard? Do I miss out on something if I fail to join? Do I condone anything in particular if I do join? I'd hate to miss out on anything worthwhile.

I think my parents joined as soon as they were eligible because of some kind of insurance that AARP provides really cheaply.

You might want to look into their lobbying activities before you give them any money, though. It's quite possible that they're evil.
