I've been long looking into getting myself a decent laptop that is very flexible in the sense of a fast office machine for home as well as work and a possible gaming machine when I go on trips or holidays.
Any opinions on the Dell Inspirion 9300(got an E-mail from a regular vendor I buy from with Laptop Specials), see specs below:
Dell Inspirion 9300 Laptop -
1024mb Memory,
100Gb HDD,
DVD/RW Combo Drive - Dual Layer,
17.0\" Flat WIDE SVGA Screen,
56k Modem onboard,
10/100 Lan onboard,
11b/g onboard Wireless Lan,
Onboard Bluetooth,
2 x USB, (from what I read it actually have 6)
1 x Serial,
1 x Parallel,
1 x S-Video,
1 x PCMCIA,
1 x VGA Port,
AC-Charger 240volts - Microsoft Windows XP Professional - FREE Carry Case Supplied - Balance of Dell On-Site Warranty + 12 Months
I can pick up this baby for about R 9848,00 ($ 1520,00 - USD)
The vendor didn't state the speed of the CPU but from what I read on the internet it would be between a 1.8 - 2.0gHz and possible have a NVidia 6800 go GPU with 256MB ram.
If so that is a pretty powerful laptop!

Doesn't seem worth it when you can get a Dell Inspiron 9400 with a Core Duo processor with those upgrades for a similar price:
