lol, isn't this kind of a pointless thread? You can search for almost any musical artist and get a flashy flash site.

Make that "Flash done stupid" and your post is correct!Top Gun wrote:Flash done right
To see what Flash was REALLY made for: http://www.becominghuman.org and take the documentary. It'll keep you busy for at least 90 minutes. I have no idea what they paid for this - but it truly is a work of art: utilising flash for the purpose for which it is intended - displaying content which can NOT be displayed using HTML alone: using multiple layers, pulling through static images to simulate animation, sounds, voices, fading, 3D animations and non-linear navigation, allowing you to explore your environment without having to follow a set story line.
In 99% of cases flash is bad and should NOT be used: http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20001029.html
If the virtual inventor of the web says it: believe it.
Can't forget this one. It has been around as long as I have known about flash.

Hah! One of my girlfriends co-workers suggested we go to this site and check out the sbemails. So, in all do diligence, I must refer you to even though you've probably already seen it ...

aight..Money! made me want to contribute and hook you guys up instead of just smirk..So here it is..
A little background on 2advanced.com
Started by a guy named Eric Jordan. Oddly enough his last name fits..Because..at the time when he started 2advanced he was the \"Michael Jordan\" of flash..Meaning..he was it..the top..that was some years ago and ALOT of people have come into their own. Now..Something else 2advanced is kinda \"famous\" for. As other developers became awesome at flash..he grabbed some of the best to come work for him and his team. So...they rock...(side note...they made the GGL)
this dude worked with him..and he super rules.

Nielsen is pretty much right on the money, though (well, he should be, considering he's one of the most well-known names in the usability field anyway); Flash is more often than not simply an impediment.
Something he doesn't mention is that Flash files are generally pretty big; so if you're going to use them, they'd better be worth it.
For such reasons few serious sites are made using the technology... it's mostly used to be flashy and cool, rather than to simply work effectively.

Man I wasn't going to post any sites. But I came across this one this morning. If you actually get passed the intro you will see what I mean. Too much flash!
