I tried this once last year and couldn't get it to work. Either my Kensington lock is an improved model, or I just suck at lockpicking, or both. It makes sense though; those tubular locks work just like regular cylinder locks (which are pretty easy to pick), except that the pins are easily visible, which should make it easier. The Wikipedia page on tubular locks says that they are \"considered to be safer and more resistant to picking than standard locks\", but doesn't say why. Maybe it's just because old-fashioned cylinder locks have been around longer, so people have gotten better at picking them.
