Okay, I have been playing electric guitar for a while, about a year. I am great with power chords, and fingering, and many techniques.
But I don't know how to do that warp-slide thingy.
If you don't know what I am talking about, I have a small audio clip here: (Hit free to get it, don't sign up)

What is this called in technical terms, and a way to learn it.
Thanks.
Anyone know how to do this/What its called?

Using lots of distortion, master volume set on 11 - start with the pick near the bridge - put the edge of the pick on as many strings as it will cover, use the wound strings (low E, A & D) so you get the edge of the pick bouncing off of each of the many windings - slide towards the nut- vary the speed and slide it up and/or down the neck to find your favorite sound....

You should also try picksliding in different ways. Palm mute it with more muting or less muting, use some effects, graze over the strings with your fret hand int front or behind the pick, etc. Just try different stuff out to get the certain kind of sounds that you want. Heck, if you know how, you can mimic the sound of a bomb dropping from a WW2 plane.
