in d2 you could do an instant 180 degree flip at the push of a button with the space orb. I know that the IDL went through a heated discussion about whether or not to allow it, and eventually it was outlawed for that exact reason. its not cheating if you dont use the button though ;)

ROFL and it was funny too...when D3 came out Spaceorbers from D2 were pissed that trick did not workin d3 and wanted outrage to make a fix for it.

I think Suncho was spearheading that movement

If I amd not mistaken Suncho was also looking for outrage to add an option to kick any user that had more than a 90ms ping from the game...he considered that cheating too!

Ok, .... rather than start a new thread about hacking, I thought I'd vent here..

The pilot called The Man, That loser hacker who keeps appearing on PXO ought to have charged up enough bad Karma by now that something will happen to him, without any effort of ours... But can we do anything more to cut him out ? Ban him, castrate his PC ?

I piggy backed him last night in Fury, as he flew through walls, used super-rapid firing weapons etc etc... Everyone left he game, ... I had never flow through wall before, how utterly lame !

.... Maybe, just wondering aloud here, ... this persistent hacker is trying to promote the release of the 1.5 patch ..? So he's actually "one of us", and is being quite deliberate with these game ruining tactics ..?

He is not one of "us". Ruining games will never accomplish anything. The 1.5 patch will come when it comes or it won't when it doesn't.

"The Man" is extremely pathetic and hypocritical. Just ignore him or blow him up and he'll go away, usually works for me.

Could we use a "hack" back upon him .. ? ... Say while piggybacking, could we crash his PC with some fancy hack ..? ..? What if we all piggyback the hacker, instead of leaving..?

...Yes, the low energy, "just leave" or ignore the loser tactic works fine, ... I just wanted to enjoy Fury last night...

I used to get pissed off at hackers, too. Then, I came to 2 realizations:
1. They WANT you to get pissed, and they want to hear you say how pissed you are.
2. All hackers suck. If they had skills, they wouldn't bother hacking.

Just play on, killing the hacker as much as you can, and make sure to remind him repeatedly of his lack of skills (even WITH a hack). Rinse and repeat.

If they see that no one cares that they're hacking, they get bored and leave.
