Hey guys, I used to be really active in the Planet Descent community (under wildcardboy), up until Descent 2 stopped working. Then someone on YTMND told me about D2X-XL and I haven't been able to stop playing since.

The last time I checked the PD forums they seemed pretty stagnant but you guys here appear to be fairly active.

It's really is nice to see a community that is dedicated to the old school hardcore gaming that I so fondly fell in love with many years ago.

I hope I can be of some use to you guys here and there. I'm currently starting up my own video game/software development company and I'm a fairly decent 3D artist, not amazing but I specialize in game art which is important to me.

You should talk with DT, I think he works in 3d for games a lot, you can see some of his art in the gallery forum.

What is that welcome image? I never got around to getting Descent3 and by the time I had a job to buy it I couldn't find it anywhere.

The DBB welcome image is a pause screen 0.01 seconds before the impact of a mega missile (they have teeth painted on them in Descent 3).
