Does anyone have a copy of the old Player Editor tool called DPE, \"Descent Player Edit\", that Cokeman wrote?
It was the best player editor even if it was DOS based.
Someone enever got around to adding color to the taunt editor in plredit.
DPE Beta Release 1 DPEREL1.EXE 104,407 Bytes
This Self Extracting exe contains 4 files-
DPEBETA2.EXE The main EXE
CREDITS.DAT The Credits Bitmap (not required to run)
DPE.DAT The Intro Bitmap (not required to run)
DPEBETA.TXT The Help file
Colored Macros
Sorry, no. Color was never added to that version. DPE is a dos executable with WYSIWYG display of the colored text. it also had several backgrounds to check it against. The default changes color against different backgrounds like the color tolerance does in Kali, sorta. Most of the colors in the modified "color Taunts' didn't.
It was a cool effect that everyone in the game could see.
