MIDI trouble on Turtle Beach Catalina

Post by Zantor »

I'm having trouble getting Winamp to play MIDIs with my new Turtle Beach Catalina. I cannot get tech support because on the site the product is discontinued. The card is brand new, I got it from a friend who hadn't even used it.

The problem is that Winamp wont' even play a MIDI. I don't know if it's the files or not. When playing Descent II, the MIDI functions fine. I installed the card Thursday and after installing the drivers, this is the only problem I've had. Does anyone have any ideas?

Check what is set as the default device for MIDI music playback in the Audio tab of Sounds and Audio Devices in the control panel.

The only option I have is 'Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth' and it's selected.

Try playing them in windows media classic. If they still don't, then I'd say it's your card.
