Smaug
So the great socialist uprising has commenced:
\"Just days after his resignation, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is about to face more repercussions for his involvement in the troubled wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. New legal documents, to be filed next week with Germany's top prosecutor, will seek a criminal investigation and prosecution of Rumsfeld, along with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their alleged roles in abuses committed at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.\"
It is curious no, that this is all happening right after the American Social....er Democrats regained the House and the Senate. I wonder if this is the Huns big chance to get back at us for winning WW2 and putting on trial all the Nazis big wigs. Oh and their chief witness?:
\"Lawyers for the plaintiffs say that one of the witnesses who will testify on their behalf is former Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski, the one-time commander of all U.S. military prisons in Iraq.\"
You remember this General...the one who was in charge of the Iraq military prison system and got relieved of her command after the Abu Ghraib scandal. Now I guess paybacks are in order.
I'm sure this will play into the hands of AQ and the middle eastern press/propaganda machine 'cause while the liberals play payback, the real payback will come from people who send their innocent bomb strapped children off to kill other innocent children. People who have the religious duty to kill us infidels and force their extreme religious views upon us. I hate to say this but I suspect in the end they will win if only because they have the dedication to achieve their goal while we?...continue to blindly play politics and view each other as the enemy.

Woodchip. The charges have been in the works for months if not years, they are being laid in Germany not the U.S and it has nothing to do with the U.S. elections and everything to do with international dogooders trying to tweak the nose of the worlds only super power.
Sheesh. Do you check under your bed for Commies each night too?
BTW Smaug was killed by a lake man with a bow given directions by a robin. The Hobbit just stole his treasure.

I think he found the ring in the cave/tunnels where he first met Gollum, before he went under the dragons mountain.Richard Cranium wrote:... and theKilarin wrote:Now Now, don't forget the cup.Ford Prefect wrote:And the only thing that Bilbo stole was the Arkenstone.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
Nice try, but you could work for Nightline with those facts.Ford Prefect wrote: BTW Smaug was killed by a lake man with a bow given directions by a robin. The Hobbit just stole his treasure.
The Dragon Smaug was killed by a special arrow shot by a lakeman with a bow. And the hobbit stole nothing. In fact, he asked for one coin and I'm not sure he even took it. The dragon offered it to him assuming he was a thief.
Gun, bullets, people and arrows don't kill dragons; faulting body armor does.
(I had forgotten about the robin telling him about Smaugs missing scale.)

Oh, yea, I guess so. I was just thinking of where he got it, I missed the thievery reference you were responding to...my bad. I was skimming again hoping to redeem myself in the world of Hobbit triviaRichard Cranium wrote:True but since Bilbo wasn't the rightful owner of the ring wouldn't it be considered stealing since he didn't return it?Will Robinson wrote:I think he found the ring in the cave/tunnels where he first met Gollum, before he went under the dragons mountain.
