HTML won't work in here--most, if not all forum software disallows it.

[ url=http://www.big_image.com/image.jpg ][ img ]http://www.my_thumbnail_link.com/image.jpg[ /img ][ /url ]

Remove the spaces in that and replace the links and you should be good to go.

When you upload large images to Imageshack, it automatically provides code for a linked thumbnail (\"Thumbnail for forums (1)\").
