Well, it could be either one but I think it would be cooler as a rail gun. Somehow the long barrel and the hollow cylinders look like they are for sort of magnetic acceleration to me. Also you have an ammo clip. I guess it could be a battery though, but it seems pretty small for a battery for that type of weapon. :) Not to mention the laser pointer and scope. I like it either way though.
