I'm surprised no one has yet posted or commented on this...
Oh, and by the way...

The Poop—Vertigo-inducing flying shooters were all the rage in the early days of 3D graphics. One of the more popular series was Descent. Both games were incredibly popular, and people still hold fond memories of them today. After a few years, the genre just died out for whatever reason. The game still has a regularly [visited] Planet site, believe it or not. Now that's some serious dedication!
Oh, and how we will breakdance with glee on that joyous day.voting link wrote:The Scoop—Odds of the vertigo shooter making a comeback are about as good as parachute pants and Members Only jackets becoming the rage again.

Does anyone know why there hasn't been a StarCraft 2 yet?
I realize WarCraft 3 was Blizzard's next gen RTS and might have taken the place of StarCraft 2, but that game was/is way too popular just to leave it at that. It seems like such a viable franchise that I can't comprehend why, 7-8 years later there still hasn't been a sequel.
