Windows XP MCE 2005 vs Windows XP Home

Post by JMEaT »

On my new system I am building I would like to buy Windows XP MCE 2005(not interested in Vista ATM).

What are the differences between Home and MCE versions besides the obvious Media Center program interface?

The above link says OEM, will I have any problems activating this copy? Or reinstalling at a later time and re-activating it?

Thanks! :)

It should be no different from XP Home for activation and reinstalls. The other differences you will find is MCE is based off XP Professional not XP Home, so a lot of the extra goodies found in XP Professional are also still present in MCE.
