It didn't bring it up, but when I did the Help => update thing, now FF can't get out on the internet.... hmm...

If it is still broken, go download the full install and just go right over the old version. It should cure it. If that doesn't work, you might have to reset all the browser settings by completely removing the browser, deleting its folders, and reinstalling it. (backup your bookmarks first)

Got it, but it was fairly annoying, as the \"Update now or later?\" dialog box pulled me out of a tense D3 game, just as I was about to make a flag-save! :?

So typical of GUI apps...

Perhaps it's better to disable the update checker and manually
check for update/security announcements occasionally.

They have an RSS feed you could use:

Heh, I fixed it by doing a system restore (I'm kinda glad that I kept those turned on....) and then when it didn't work after that I uninstalled it and reinstalled a fresh 2.0 version (I believe it was), and that updated with no problem.
