Country is NOT music, and is an ABOMINATION that must be purged from existance!
Tiger: That video would have been alot better if you had actually MOVED.

I can't stand country music... but there is a couple good songs i do not mind listening to... or dancing to if I went to a country club. Line dancing= fun!
I should fix up D3 so I can play a couple games this summer. THe last time I tried playing, the game keeps freezing up.
Pretty neat spider-like boss, tiger. what level were you on?

Yeah, I've always liked to see some Descent speedruns like the Quake Done Quicker guys released. Unfortunately playing keyboard only I'm not up to the challenge...

But yes, a super play of Descent would be right awesome.
BTVS
Hehe, reminds of that scene in Buffy The Vampire Slayer 1x12 where Xander get's turned down by Willow when asking her to go to the dance with him and which makes him say:MD-2389 wrote:Country is NOT music, and is an ABOMINATION that must be purged from existance!
which is getting quite hillarious when later on in the show you actually see him lying on the bed with a depressed face listening to country music. That's okay. I don't wanna go. I'm just gonna go home, lie down and listen to country music. The music of pain.

Tiger: Looks like you need flying lessons. I pity the mechanic that would have to pound all those dents out.

Tiger: Maybe you should try Geico.
BTW, does anyone know how to contact this davedore guy? I'd like to get the demo files for his speedruns so I can watch them on a decent resolution! I pm'ed him over at YouTube but he hasn't replied.
Care to be impressed? Check this out!

MMh, I can't imagine someone wouldn't record demos of his skills in this case. Do you think it's technically feasible to both record them and an avi at the same time?

Of course it is. Fraps periodically grabs the contents of the current frame buffer (video image memory) and saves it to disk. This does not depend on the frame rate the game runs with. If Fraps records at 60 fps, and the game runs at 30 fps, Fraps will save each image twice (bar the possibility it detects and discards duplicates, which I doubt, as this costs quite some time).
Each frame, the demo system writes every significant event plus the state of every object to disk. Apart from possible mass storage bottlenecks (HD write speed, particularly if two different files are involved that may require a lot of head repositioning if both are saved to the same physical device), that doesn't interfere.
So he could have demos. Imo they would be pointless though, as the Fraps recording potentially has better quality (no object jiggling due to the standard demo format's lossy position data packing - which I have fixed in D2X-XL), and is not depending on the speed of the system playing back the demo (slow system may have to skip, fast system may have to interpolate demo frames).
