Keep getting this message when I post here tho the post goes thru:

Could not connect to smtp host : 10060 : A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Yes, we know about it. I posted an alert about it to Richard the night it started happening. He's probably AFK given that he's been working his ass off for the past few months. (So much so that I rarely see him on his own teamspeak server.)

My suggestion is (and this applies to everyone) to go into your profiles and turn off e-mail alerts for your posts. This won't cure the current issue with some threads, but it should hopefully prevent it.

btw, you should have really posted this in Feedback.

Oh, WOW... oops... I'm working on one of the server on my network. I fogot that it's the one handling the SMTP gateway stuff. I'll be working on that this weekend some more.

I guess that uses up your quota for moronic mistakes for this week...

phpBB seriously needs to do better error handling when it fails to send an email, since the posting and everything else still works fine even if the email throws a fatal error.

This should be fixed now. I pointed the DBB at another one of my SMTP servers. I thought it was using this one already.

It was fixed last night, but it started again today. He must be working on the machine again.
