\"The FBI's terrorism trade-off\"
Interesting read about the side effect of shifting FBI agents into counterterrorism activities w/o increasing the force size (you guessed it -- other things get neglected..)

Explains why I never heard a single word from them about a $2k fraudulent charge on my credit card three years ago. Makes me wonder how high the probability is that I would become a victim of terrorist activity..
Edit: added smiley for ppl w/ diminished sarcasm capacity

And this is a graphic demonstration of the Fear you Americans needlessly feel.
The answer to your question is of course: Precisely Zero.
You are 100 times more likely to be struck by lightning and 29,000 times more likely to be killed in a car wreck.
Honestly, you need to adress your risk assessment skills, ignoring anything and everything your \"governmentary\" and your \"media\" say.

I'm well aware of that.Mobius wrote:The answer to your question is of course: Precisely Zero.

My "risk assessment skills" are well adjusted, TYVM. Fortunately "my" government is about 13.000km away and I don't own a TV nor radio, I satisfy my news-needs from other sources.Mobius wrote:Honestly, you need to adress your risk assessment skills, ignoring anything and everything your "governmentary" and your "media" say.
