2 network players+ 1 online player playing at the same time?

If i create a D1 or D2 game and then have my brother join it (who lives in my house) using the ip 10.0.0.6 (my router based ip) can a 3rd person who lives wherever in the world join it? Using my external IP address? (68.254.148.170).

I tried it once but it did not work.. any ideas? I hope Im just missing something.

Have your brother join using the external IP address, the router might be able to sort it out from there.

I dont think they could because your game is not broadcasting over the net. Unless you use TCP and start a net game, have your buddy in your house join it and then your other one from anywhere else join. If you use IPX, it won't work.

Well.. for D1X-Rebirth (and soon D2X-Rebirth) it should possible...
Your brother joins via local ip, while someone else joins via the external IP (if the UDP port is correctly routed).
