Tweeking your System for Gaming.

Post by Duper »

I'm sure many of you old timers know about this and indeed I once did as well. I've just recently rediscovered Tweak Guides.com. What a wonderful recourse.

HERE is the Basic Tweak Guide that preps your system for \"generic\" optimization. From there, there are links to specific games of your need.

Also HERE is some explanations of what all the regualr things like FPS, VSync, Refresh Rate, Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering are.

enjoy!

Yeah, Tweak Guide can be pretty handy at times, though I haven't used it since I got my new computer... :P

so lets say i ran one of these auto tweak apps. Would i get a higher 3d mark rating?

I mean i find that i can get optimal performance and graphics if have the options as different priority:
1.Resolution (along with high refresh + vsync)
2. Sound quality
3. Anti aliasing
4.Anisotropic filtering
and everything else can be put at the lowest setting for all i care.

Then I would say that you enjoy gambling. The odds are good, but not fool proof.
