I kind of doubt that my campus's network people would like that very much, and even if I did have extra machines, I couldn't exactly cram them into a dorm room.Foil wrote:Over 3Mbit upload, TG? Dude, you need to start hosting some servers!

dude!!!(posted download speeds)
^_~
Why can't we just alienate the phone modem players? That's part of the reason D3 failed like it did... every other game optimizes their servers for high-speed connections... and server ops won't stop hosting levels like skybox, amateur's arena, stadium, etc. >_< Thunderbunny was right. =P

I've said it before many times, and it's in my server-message on all my servers... request something!Neo wrote:... and server ops won't stop hosting levels like skybox, amateur's arena, stadium, etc. >_<
I'm not all-knowing, I just host what people request, and leave it up if it gets played. I've only played D3 multi since 2005, so I don't know many of the good classic levels.
I've heard at least twenty complaints about the hosted levels in the last few months. During that time, how many requests for something different have I gotten? Three, which I hosted, and which never got played.
Complaining is easy; if you really want something different, request it!

Neo doesnt play enough to complain like he is, Pay no heed to him ;pFoil wrote:I've said it before many times, and it's in my server-message on all my servers... request something!Neo wrote:... and server ops won't stop hosting levels like skybox, amateur's arena, stadium, etc. >_<

1871 Kbps down
661 Kbps up
not sure if that's good bad or average.
It's all that Hawaii has to offer for less than $200 a month or so (last I checked)
it's a far cry from my CA static IP account from Sonic though
RM
ps--oh, and I dont have an account there either
