I have heard all over the internet that the DirectX 10.1 upcoming update Incompatible with DirectX 10 cards. Maybe. Maybe Not. Although i have seen an article on softpedia regarding this issue.

I would assume DX10.1 will require new hardware to expose all the functionality, but will still work on older \"DX10.0\" cards, in the same way DX9.x can be installed on a system with hardware that doesn't support all the extensions, or even on DX8 hardware.
