I installed a php counter called BBClone on my website, Scott's Carpentry . The trouble is that it's slooooooowwww as hell, takes like 25 seconds to do its thing. Could you guys check it out and tell me if it's that slow or just me? It's only in the index.php page.

I downloaded and installed a new version, you must of hit it before I got the chmod set

The new version helped some... it's down to about 15 seconds now

took 15-20seconds to REload the whole page (ie: i still had it cached) on 56k.

I cleared my cache and it took only about 10 seconds to load on my spare box (AMD 450, 655MB PC100/133 mixed, 56k) through Mozilla 1.6

I guess that's not to bad considering the amount of information it's pulling down. I wish I could get it a little faster, but I think it has something to do with the DNS servers at my hosted site and that is out of my control.

Just a few words on proofreading: Just because spellcheck didn't catch a word doesn't mean you've used the correct word. Use of inappropriate homophones makes you seem uneducated, and a lot of people equate that with stupidity. Additionally, apostrophes are not optional where they are appropriate, and most definately do not belong anywhere else.

CORRECTIONS BELOW IN BOLD.

Here's how I might re-write the above paragraph, feel free to use it however you'd like to, in whole or in part:
