Stupid scientific studies #23654

Post by Flabby Chick »

These friggin' studies that are issued in the press about health make me want to vomit. "Standing on your head stuffing chopsticks up your nose may increase the likelyhood of nasal dysfunction"....no sh1t sherlock!!!!

Can't these ever-so-well-educated geeks go figure out a cure for cancer or something???

Humans suck................rant over.

A serious burn causes the body to release fat stores and it is these fat stores that damage the heart? That is not obvious, and i found it rather interesting!

good day sir

ditto Roid. Seems to me that the study was a good step towards the mechanism, which effectively causes the death of burn victims. It might actually contribute to saving a few lives.

Recent clip, also posted on dot-com. I believe this is an example of an even more obvious result:

LOL@link

I just thought it was a tad obvious if one is suffering from %80 burns, the heart would be somewhat stressed, never mind the drippy fat.

Hmm... so the study you quoted was a waste of time because it was too obvious, but your post, saying how this study isn't worth reading, isn't?

Also, did you know that 100% of all accidents at home always happen in a place somebody feels attached to?

Did you know that 86.74% of the statistics you read on the internet are made up on the spot.

now that they know that serious burns cause heart damage via a sudden surge in metabolism and mobilising of fat reserves, they can perhaps prevent those heart problems by concentrating effort on treating and stabilising the patient's metabolism.

Serious burns may have just become a lot more survivable thx to this research.

One day a study comes out that says women are attracted to men with feminine characteristics. Two days later a study comes out saying women are attracted to men with caveman like features. Go figure.
