Open Toshiba A25-207

Looking for a manual with pics to show me how to open up a Toshiba laptop.

My friend got a blue screen (\"warning\" is all he remembers)and now will get to the screen \"Safe mode with Networking......\" but won't go farther.

It's making a noise and the noise changes if he moves the laptop around.

Haven't seen it yet but sounds like the HD is on and he feels air coming out so a fan must be working.

Worked on pc's but not laptops. Any harm in taking a look if I can get it open?

Usually you just flip it over and remove a couple screws to access things like the hard drive, ram, processor, etc. Either that, or you remove screws from the top and pop off the keyboard. User serviceable items will be accessible there.

Quick googling found this. Might give you a place to start.

As with most laptops mark screws, and don't pry too hard. :)

That site lead me to this which has 4 pages with good detail.

I just have to make sure that my friend knows that he could end up taking his laptop to a repair place in pieces.

But I'm willing to give it a try.
