BFG Sucks!

Post by Pun »

Well, here I sit with my second bad BFG card. Their claim to fame is 24/7 technical support. But their call center is populated by 19 year old kids that can do absolutely nothing for me. My options are as follows:

Exchange the card yet again with another card from Comp-U-Plus that most likely came off the assembly line within seconds of the other two bad ones I recieved. Pay to have it shipped, and pay to ship this one back to them.

Send the card back to BFG and get a remanufactured (read used) card in it's place. Now, I know that these cards have a lifetime warrantee, but wtf? The remanufactured cards are most likely cards that someone has abused or tried to flash or overclock. I paid like 260 for this card. I really dont want a used one.

Send the card back and get my money back minus all the shipping charges I've incurred in this fiasco. The problem with this is, FX5900's are a rare commodity these days. The ones out there are either the watered down versions or people are charging upwards of $300.

What would you guys do?

Bummer Pun...that sucks...

BTW...

There IS no spoon.

Just thought I'd contribute

As for what you should do... Man, you have the worst luck in the world. I'd try to get my money back, and go to compusa, best buy etc.

If you can't get your money back, keep playing the new card lottery with the original seller. Eventually you'll get one that works.

dude pun, thats major BS. id write to them and tell them unless they send you a "WORKING" card, or give your money back, including all the shipping charges you had to forfit sending cards left and right.

Price always reflects the quality,
cheaper = crap
expensive = quality

Newegg has two Asus 5900 cards for about the same price.
I'd get my money back and go shopping, might as well cut your losses before it costs you any more.

I got a pretty decent computer case for a dollar.. rounded edges and a removable mobo tray.

Just an example to ponder...

But yea pun, go grab an Asus.
