Post by AceCombat »

i forgot how to do this, i searched for that topic we had of this same subject but couldnt find it.

i know it has something to do with adding myself as a uhhh............ permissions sometype thing :?

i think i remember the process, but for some reason i cannot get to the start of that process.

reason being is that i have a recurring trojan in my internet temp folder that AVG Pro keeps picking up and i cant delete it manually

Try taking ownership of the folder.

You'll have to turn simple sharing off for that.

Don't take ownership, just add your user account with full control under security and don't forget to set it so subfolders and files inherit the settings.

I like this idea better. Cleaner and safer (because it avoids other problems later on) since taking ownership of the files means the files could then be inaccessible elsewhere even though they were accessible before.

Getting the proper access rights is a better way if possible. (though the instructions in the link Grendel provided do work)
