That picture is a little misleading, the left pane should be on the right, and the right on the left. I have to do it that way so the windows on the other screen don't get messed up when I'm in a full screen game like Descent.

It's easier to double clic the icon to reboot or shutdown then to click START/SHUTDOWN then either RESTART or SHUTDOWN. it's not about being lazy it's about being productive.

That is the command line commands to do that ... but that won't work for a shortcut, because it doesn't include the file path or file extension.

To actually get it to work in a shortcut, the shortcut would need to reference thusly:

Shutdown

Code: Select all

C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\shutdown.exe -s -t 0

Restart

Code: Select all

C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\shutdown.exe -r -t 0
