I am using 3dsmax 9 32 bit, and I currently have a model that is about 8000 polys (5000 polys, 3000 from a low poly model I am using to base this off of). I am trying to reduce some polygons in areas manually, but when I try to do this it kills my system.
When I first open up 3dsmax I have 150k system use
When I open up my model I have 300k system use
When I go to editable mesh, it climbs to 600k system use
And finally, when I try to edit it, it climbs to 750k system use, then crashes!
Anyone with advice, I have tried deleting parts of the model and editing just the section I am working on, but it still has the same result!
