My optical \"travel mouse\" for my laptop is dying ... I'm thinking about getting a wireless optical mouse to replace it.
What mice would you guys suggest? Is a wireless mouse a bad deal with games?
Thanks

Wireless laptop mice are bad for games, wireless desktop mice are fine. I'm very happy with my G7 for my desktop/gaming (I use a MX1000 for general windows use, but they are too slow and bulky for gaming).
On my laptop I have a VX Nano that is really handy for the portability and microscopic USB key that it uses for communication. The USB key is so small you don't even have to remove it from the slot to slide the laptop into the carry case and if you want you can pop it out of the laptop and store it inside a slot just for it that is inside the Mouse itself. But for gaming the VX Nano's performance would be horrible, laggy and unreliable. If I play a FPS game on the laptop I either lose the VX Nano and plug in the MX510 corded, or go all out and plug in the G7's key.
The latest generation cordless mice (for desktops) pretty much rule these days.

I play all my games with that mouse, and have no issues.
