Supposedly IE8 is getting a whole new engine, it is reported to have passed "Acid test 2".

Oh and that's the other thing. Do you think that the Acid2 test is going to include the bogus meta tag? I doubt that it passes.

What pages are you talking about? I've never hit one outside of Microsoft.

I know of a couple.

Yahoo's "Launchcast" service - some online radio thing - refuses to work outside of IE.

Personally, I still use Firefox despite the huge amount of memory it eats, mostly because of extensions and the fact that it has one of the few decent-but-not-utterly-bloated IRC clients available. The real reason, of course, is just that the logo is cool.
