What else can I do with this website?

Post by Top Wop »

This is what I made for the company I work with.

www.upconservices.com

However they want me to "jazz it up". I'm not really an artist so I dont know what else I can do to the website to "jazz it up". At least its functional. :P

Any ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind would be some color.

Some sort of pictures -- something that somehow relates to the company, or the city, or something.

Also, add some color.

Take a look at this site: http://www.epsnorthwest.com/

There's not a lot of content there -- mission statement, a list of services, company history, and a portfolio. But there's a little bit of color, a nice logo, the buttons are somewhat unique, and there's a picture of the city. It makes it look like a very complete site...

A link to Booble :P

Seriously if they do property management, show some nice colour photos of the types of properties they manage, unless they manage ghetto slums soaked in urine, then ya add some colour.

and make sure your images actually appear. :P

This is what web site designers get paid to do.

Um. There's a reason why people pay, too. :)

It does, stupid. :)

Anyway im working on a theme though im not sure of the colors, im thinking of something along the lines of expanding the top and bottom lines accross the top (dark blue) and having the bottom lines curve down into the menu. The background of the top and side menu would be light blue and the rest of the background mayby light gray? Very simple but I think that should be enough to "add some color". Will get back to you again for an opinion. :)

And to hide the imperfections of the scan and to make it stand out a bit, heres the enhanced one:
