Windows DVD Maker completely broken!
It worked about a week ago. But now, it crashes if it sits for about 30 seconds, or it reaches 14.6% in the burning process. Every single time, without fail.
I hate Vista soooo bad!

Try right clicking the program and "Run as Administrator"Red_5 wrote:Never did it in XP. I just got started a few months ago with video projects. I have Roxio, but it won't read any of my videos.

Wait ... Didn't you say it was broken from the start (Vista's wizard)?Red_5 wrote:Didn't know I could. It worked about 3 weeks ago...?
Yep, you did.Red_5 wrote:I can do data CDs/DVDs with Roxio, but now that you mention it, Vista's data CD writing wizard is completely broken as well. It was broken from the start, and I have proven it on several other computers.
Sooo... to clarify ... Has Vista's data CD writing wizard ever worked on that system?
Please also clarify, how did you prove it was broken on several other computers?

The DVD Maker worked about three weeks ago, and the data CD writing wizard was broken from the start. I proved this with several CDs which I received from my friends/family (pictures, music, video, etc) and all of them that were done on Vista showed up as either blank or only having like one file on them. Needless to say, I have informed my friends/family and we have all gone on flash drive sprees.
