It has been confirmed that Blizzard has purchased www.diablo3.com. If you haven't been there they have the article up on that site.

It's not a rumor. It's a known fact from many sources that they bought the domain. It's just a matter of time before they announce it publicly.

Why would they not make another Diablo game? It's a cash cow just like all their games.

I thought the end of Diablo 2 kinda closed the storyline. Crystal destroyed, magic go poof.

Diablo 2 was good, but not a perfect game. That's reason enough for a sequel.
