USB Headset
I am looking into a USB headset to play Battlefield 2142 or a few other games using voicechat, any suggestions?

I use this 5.1 set (found it a few months ago for less than half price), but its USB jack is just for power, not the audio connection.
I'm not sure why a USB audio connection would be preferable, unless you just can't use your sound card or onboard audio.

I have that same headset Foil. It's not a bad choice I guess, but if I had it to do over again I'd pick a different one. The placement of the inline amp is a nuisance to say the least. I've also only had it maybe 6-8 months and now only the front channel works. Even that doesn't really bother me, but the amp hanging off the side of my head does.

Not sure what you mean by the inline volume control "hanging off the side of my head". Mine has a clip, so I either put it at my hip (which is pretty convenient for quick adjustments) or clip it to the desk.flip wrote:I have that same headset Foil. As far as only the front channel working after 6-8 months for you... I'm not sure about that, either. I've had mine since October, and it's fine. The one thing I have done is to use a bit of tape to cover the individual volume controls (front, rear, center, sub) on the inline control, so I don't accidentally bump them.
