X-Wing Alliance: How to run it?

Post by Red_5 »

Just found it in my derelict stack of discs and recalled all the good ol' days. I just need to know how to get it to run on Vista (shudder) with a digital joystick. The game was originally written for 95/98, just FYI.

I just installed it on my vista system, i had to set the setup.exe to compatibility mode of XP SP2, then installed the game fine, and tested it out with my bro's Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold USB joystick, And it worked with no problem.

I'll try that. I remember trying it on XP a few years ago and I had to reinstall it every time I wanted to play or it wouldn't work.

Thanks.

Is it only fighter models? No program patches? I can't find anything like that...
