And they slipped in a plan change. The change is I no longer have unlimited Internet. It has been reduced to 5 GB a month. I darn near missed it.
I call there service reps and they have no clue the plan changed. It appears they no longer offer unlimited Internet either. Personally I think this sucks, between my phone and wireless modem I pay them $140 bucks a month and they cant tell me squat as to what my usage is - LOL

Sprint is undergoing a LOT of confusion right now. They tried a bunch of offshoring and rebadging of the employees that didn't work. Offshoring is when they replace the employees with cheap employees overseas. Rebadging is when they simply sign all of the employees over to another company such as IBM or EDS and let them manage them. The employees don't have any choice in that. The IT operations that they offshored proved less than satisfactory. And the rebadging operation was such a dismal failure that they forced IBM to let them hire back a lot of their employees again.
And, of course, the outsourcing/offshoring that they did in the customer service department is considered to be one of the key components in the massive hemorrhaging of customers leaving Sprint. They had 20 or so DIFFERENT companies doing customer service. When you call, you would be routed to any one of those companies randomly. And each one of those companies had a completely different set of rules about what they could and could not do for the customer. That made customers REAL happy of course. Happy to switch companies anyway.
This got so bad that the stock price plummeted and Sprint switched out upper management. Which makes sense. But then they also decided that the best way to fix bad customer service was to lay off another 10% of the IT staff. <sigh>
One would hope that that was the end of the idiocy, but according to rumor, the new management has decided that the next step needed to fix Sprint is to rebadge the entire IT staff to IBM. It didn't work before, so of course it will work this time if they just do it bigger!!!
ANYWAY. Like I said, there is a lot of confusion and frustration going on at Sprint. If they don't get their act together, and really fast, they are going to either go under or be bought out.

Yea, there tech support has no idea whats up. I should post some of the responses I got when I asked whats up and why did I sign a contract for unlimited service. When they can just change it to a 5 GB cap and I have no choice or say in the matter.

limit of 5GB per month and 300MB per month for data Off-network usage.
If this usage is exceeded, then services will be suspended. You have
already been sent a letter about this information.
I want to share with you that why Sprint is putting the usage
limitations on Mobile Broadband service.
Sprint is continually working to ensure a great customer experience that
is available to all of its customers . Efficiently managing our wireless
network is a big part of our commitment. These limitations are necessary
to control over usage, which is rising dramatically. We expect that
these control enable Sprint to continue to offer roaming-included plan
which are a valued convenience for many customers, who occasionally need
to use their phones, mobile broadband cards, USB modems or embedded
modems outside of our network coverage.
At last I would say that this has been implemented considering the
benefit for our valued customers like you.
