Thunderbird help!

Post by Fusion »

I just last Sat assembled my new computer, and now I am feeding stuff from the old HD. All has been working out fairly well for the most part, but I have hit a snag. I hope some1 out there will have the answer.

I have all the email and address books from the 2 accounts from the old drive's Thunderbird copied over, but there is no option for importing them into the new box's TB from a previous TB in the inport menu. how can I get this important info restored into my new machine's Thunderbird?

copy over %appdata%\\Thunderbird of the old HD to the %appdata% of the new machine.

All the files are stored in / documents and settings / <username> / application data / mozilla / thunderbird / profiles / <bunchanonsense> / (I think), just overwrite the new profile in there with the old profile.
