..for the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship at the Georgia Dome, where approximately 300 high schools robotics teams, compirsed of more than 7000 students, will compete simultanousely on four fields of play.
The event is open to the public and IIRC the LEGO League Championship will take place there at the same time. If you live in that area, check it out -- it will be fun !! To meet me you have to find Team 847 and ask for Detlef.
And no, I'm not a student
I'll be in Atlanta, GA from 15th-17th..

grendel if you want to post more threads about this robot stuff. please do (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE).
btw, from looking at the pics on your site, i think i have figured out the rules to the game you are playing (with the wall of plastic boxes).
and i can tell you, you ABSOLUTELY COULD make a program that entirely simulates that game, complete unlimited robot building, then the game, physics and all. the cool thing about it would be that you don't need any access to expensive robotics equip.
have you seen the free program Juice?
i wrote an article about it on zzzonline here.
i'm using Juice merely as an example of how you can easily Build things and then test and play with it with all the laws of physics. it uses ODE physics and as a result is a little slow, you'd want to use Tokamak physics in teh game. seriously it is HIGHLY ACHIEVEABLE
