Ahhh.. N/M. found THIS which is more what I want.

*back story*

A while back, I installed Linux on a dual boot setup. ...well... somewhere along the way, XP went belly (oddly) and I needed to do a clean reinstall.

unfortunately, I lost my boot data on that drive and lost access to the Linux partition(s). well things are getting very slow again and with all the junk that's been loaded and unloaded on that box, it's time for a reinstall. i figure it's also the time to try and recover that lost space. Which means clearing every partition on the disk like a prairie fire in summer.

this utility seems to fit the ticket.

hm.. but i don't think this is going to work from an F8 break.....

cool! Thanks fliptw.

I've been playing with the idea of going with installing Ubuntu rather than XP.

As there is a Linux version of just about anything I need I don't need MS. (I've quit playing most games and building levels)

oh, why Ubuntu? cuz I'm lazy and I have no real intention of becoming a Linux power user.

that was \"sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hds\" I get annoyed at linux when it tells me i'm not the owner.
