Is there any way a PS2 on a LAN could be hacked by someone on the internet and used as a sniffer, etc? The reason why I ask is my son wants to get a network card for his PS2 and I don't want my network compromised.
Thanks in advance.

the network card is off most of the time untill the game your playing tells it to activate.
