Hey guys, I'm new to descent online, and it was thanks to the threads in here on how to get started in Descent 3 that I played today for the first time (name Twilight). I have so many fond memories of Descent I in elementary on the LAN, Descent 3 LAN in high school, and all 3 titles in single player, and today i finally got multiplayer online working. I did aweful ... 9 kills 44 deaths i believe lol. anyways thanks for keeping a classic game alive.

Welcome! :D

Don't feel bad about being horrible in multiplayer. I think I went something like 15-57 my first game online, too. Just keep playing, you'll start getting a feel for what to watch for and how to move. Plus, you gotta remember that some of these guys have been playing for 10+ years, hehe.

15-57? You're a natural! For me, it was more like 50 to 3.

I had been pretty successful at D1 with friends over the network in college... so I thought 15-57 (or whatever) was pretty depressing for my first D3 game online. :P

Hehe. Although our scores were quite different, the initial feeling was the same! :P

Hi Twix,

Good to see another player. I will see you in the games if you use that name.
