One wonders if what happens with Hamas would become similar to what happens to Al Queda if we nab Bin Laden. The Middle East has no shortage of zealous sheep with a penchant for ignorant hated.

/me thinks the Palestinians will not accept peace until outsiders stop using them as pawns in their jihad against Israel.
If left to their own devices I think Palestine would have become a state already.

If it goes well the 'war on terror' could end up also being the Palestinians war of independance. Think of the war on terror as a tactical manuever, cutting off the supply lines and command structure.

Finish the job in Iraq, topple the fanatics in Iran by force or by aiding an internal force, bulldoze Syria (a task so overdue we should be embarrased) and you will have set the Palestinians free.
