I need to get 30 GB of data to a client based in L.A. urgently (uploading from Australia) , but I can't FTP it as my F****** ISP insists on shaping my ADSL upload speed to 30kps!
What's the best way to get this kind of data across the internet securely and quickly? (it's sensitive information and I'd really rather avoid trying to do it via torrent if possible) Do I need to set up a virtual private network or is there an easier way? To send it via post will take 4 to 5 days, even with an express courier.

Hamachi? You would have to set it up on both ends. It's free though. Limited by your upload speed.

The data is a collection of video content that unfortunately needs to stay as high a res as possible. There's 9 DVDs worth. Is there a video codec that I can use to compress the files to a fair degree without the picture getting too lossy? The vision needs to be at SD DVD quality (or damn close to it) when it gets there.

Since your upload speeds are capped whatever you do is limited and will take forever. There is such a thing as overnight air, but your going to pay.Gekko71 wrote:I need to get 30 GB of data to a client based in L.A. urgently (uploading from Australia) , but I can't FTP it as my F****** ISP insists on shaping my ADSL upload speed to 30kps!
