Confidence

Post by woodchip »

I have stated a couple of times that the tanking of the economy is a direct result of Barack \"Chavez\" Obama's inept leadership ability. Of course his impeccable Harvard degree automatically made him able to govern our country even tho all he ever did prior was vote present and be spiritually mentored by a certifiable racist wack job. But I digress. Someone else seems to have a similar opinion. Someone who once helped Herr Klinton get elected:

\"It’s Obama spreading panic
By Dick Morris

Ultimately, all recessions and depressions resolve themselves into crises of confidence. The instant, global, 24/7 communications of today make them ever more so. President Obama, in his pursuit of liberal big-government spending, has totally neglected the role of the president of the United States in reversing global panic. To the contrary, his every remark and the constant preoccupation of his Cabinet is to heighten the sense of crisis and to escalate the predictions of doom if we do not do as they tell us and raise spending now and taxes later.

Instead of being a firewall, reassuring Main Street even as Wall Street crashed, he has become a conduit of panic, spreading the mood of desperation from the stock exchange floor to kitchen tables across the world.\"

So the question is, does Obama keep using crisis mode rhetoric to keep the faithful dependent upon the new socialist order or is he really too inexperienced for the job at hand?

2012 vote experience. Vote Palin.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

So the guy who worked as a Republican strategist before joining the Clinton team, who advised Clinton only on how to \"win over\" Republicans,

.... and who had to resign from the Clinton team after it was exposed that he let a prostitute listen to his conversations with the POTUS....

....is saying something bad about Obama?

No way :P

I can accept arguments that Obama isn't going to make things better, but saying that the tanking of the economy is a direct result of Obama shows no regard for historical timelines.

He's making it worse, but there is no way you can honestly blame him for the current condition. This thing has roots that go all the way back to the Clinton era, and run right through the Bush presidency. Bad decisions, criminally bad decisions, have been made by the government, the banks, insurance, and the general population. There is a LOT of blame to go around.

Obama is certainly adding to the situation, he's turning a depression into a great depression, no doubt. But the economy would be tanked right now no matter WHO had just been elected in November.

I don't like him either, but lets be fair and only blame him for things that are actually his fault.

Hard to blame him for his bitterness since that President who threw him under the bus for letting the hooker listen in on the calls was probably playing hide the cigar up Monica's panties while they were talking!
